Doda, Dec 9: Department of Rural Development and Panchayti Raj, Block Bhagwah, launched a three days 'Sanitation Campaign' under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) here today.
According to press release, the campaign was organized by the Block Development Officer, Bhagwah Gurjeet Singh in coordination with Tehsildar Bhagwah, Mohit Gupta and officials from other departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, CAPD, Social Welfare.
The campaign led by BDO and Tehsildar of Bhagwah. The local public who were present in large numbers cooperated and greatly appreciated the efforts of the Government. The sanitation campaign was conducted from the Block Development Office Bhagwah to the Bus-Stand. The local residents showed great enthusiasm in the campaign conducted by RDD.
Other prominent citizens also promoted that cleanliness is a part of our religious and moral character and "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" should be a people's movement.
They asked the people to identify suitable land for construction of community sanitary complex under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) near Bus-Stand Bhagwah. |
