| Annual Urs celebrated | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 9: In connection with the celebration of 97th Annual Urs of renowned sub-continent Sufi Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Bareilvi alias Aalahazrat Alairahmat, a grand function was organized in Jamia Anwaar-ul-uloom Poonch. Speaking on the occasion Principal of Jamia Molana Syed Fidaad Hussain Qadri said that for the greater will of Allah Ta'aala Imam Ahmad Raza Khan alairahmat is a great Sufi. He was true in his love for Almighty Allah and his holy Prophet and he was also meek, charitable and patient. He became astonishingly well versed in more than fifty branches of learning pertaining to ancient, modern and current sciences and oriental learning and left a great contribution in all these academic disciplines. MLA Poonch Shah Mohammad Tantray has extended his greetings to the management of Jamia for organizing such an informative functions wherein common man comes to know about the works and services of such great Scholars and Sufis of Islam. He said that the strengthening of our country lies in the preachings of such Sufis and Sufism is the only way for tolerant India. While speaking at the occasion Molana Basharat Saqafi said Imam Ahmad Raza was a fountain of Prophetic love, the protector of faith, the reviver of the religion, Imam of love and devotion, alim, hafiz, qari and mufassir. He was saviour of the Ahlesunnat and the destroyer of the Ahlebid'at. Earlier the function was started with the recitation of Holy verses of the Quran and naats. Programme was conducted by Hafiz Syed Khalid Shah. A joint prayer (Fateha-o-Qul Sharif) was also observed at the occasion wherein special prayer for peace, prosperity, tranquility and brotherhood was also sought. Langar was also served among the participants. |
