Theft case solved, burglar held with stolen items worth Rs 1,30,000

Rajouri, Jan 12: Rajouri police claimed to have solved a theft case with the arrest of a burglar allegedly involved in several theft cases and also recovered 3 Laptops and an LCD TV from his possession which he had stolen from a shop in the month of October last
"The accused has been identified as Haroon Rashid s/o Abdul Rashid r/o W-2 Rajouri, police said
According to spokesperson, "On October 23, one Vishal Singh s/o Kuldeep Raj of Dhanwana, Rajouri approached the Police Post (City) Rajouri and lodged a complaint alleging that some unidentified persons have broken into his shop near Abdullha Bridge and decamped with three Lap Tops and valuables."
"Following complaint, Police registered a case FIR No 529/15 u/s 457 and 380 RPC and started investigations in this mater," police said, adding, "during investigations several suspects were rounded up by the police but without any result."
Police said, "After some specific inputs a police team lead by Mohd Fareed in-charge Rajouri Police Post (City) under the supervision of Hamid Choudhry, Dy SP (HQs) and inspector Chaman Gorkha, SHO today apprehended one Haroon Rashid s/o Abdul Rashid of Ward- 2 and recovered three stolen Laptops and a LCD, TV from his possession."
The people of the area have highly appreciated the timely action of Police.
Meanwhile SSP Rajouri taking to media persons said that all the SHOs have been directed to take effective measures and to take tough action against the burglars/ anti-social elements.
