Mehbooba may empower her close aides 1/12/2016 11:31:05 PM Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report Pulwama, Jan 12: To counter lobbyism in the party, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti is all set to give her trustworthy people major roles in the party and in the government. A top PDP leader told Early times that a few leaders, who are close to PDP Chief are all set to shine and get main roles. He said that these people were very close to late PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Syed and Mehbooba is aware of their close relationship with her father and would empower them to counter lobbyism in the party. "Mufti Sahab always valued his close aides and acknowledged their roles. He was aware about their contributions, and knew how they helped PDP to make inroads in NC bastions last year before Parliamentary and assembly elections were held here," he added. "Mehbooba would definitely rely on them and assign them important responsibilities when she takes charge," the leader said. Sources said that internal bickering in one corner of the party is an "open secret" and Mehbooba is aware of the situation.
