Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 12: Amidst speculations that People's Democratic Party may enter into an alliance with Congress in Jammu and Kashmir for formation of Government, the Central intelligence agencies are learnt to have been set into motion for preparing the dossier on alleged omissions and commissions by the State Congress leaders in past.
According to the sources, the BJP-led Central Government has issued secret instructions to the intelligence agencies in this regard while the Governor's rule in J&K is expected to be providing help for the purpose. Around a dozen senior Congress leaders, including the incumbent PCC president G A Mir and some former Ministers, have been identified for zeroing in and extracting about them all informations, which can put them into trouble, sources further said.
For the purpose, sources added, secret information on the Congress leaders is being gathered from all sources and compiled separately for using the same in case there are advances in possible alliance between PDP and Congress party. Under the Governor rule, the State intelligence agencies are understood to facilitate the Central agencies in gathering requisite information though there has been no such confirmed reports in this regard.
Pertinent to mention that Congress party has 12 MLAs in the State Assembly and support of five independent legislators can ensure formation of a Government by PDP-Cong combine. Meanwhile, on the other hand, even as Ghulam Nabi Azad has brushed aside the speculations over Congress forming a Government in alliance with People's Democratic Party, the Congressmen in Jammu and Kashmir are busy in making castles in air. A few of the Congress legislators have even started looking for a suitable dress for the oath ceremony while the second rung leaders are engaged in guess work over the possible inclusion of their favourites in the Council of Ministry.
