Pensioners mourn Mufti's demise

Jammu, Jan 11: The Jammu wing of J&K Central Government Pensioners' Welfare Association has mourned the sad demise of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
At an emergency meeting of the association held here Monday under the chairmanship of its President S S Wazir, a condolence resolution was adopted. It described the Mufti's death as a tragedy for the people of state and the country and expressed the hope that his cherished vision of making Jammu & Kashmir a Cradle of Peace (Aman Ka Gehwara) would be realized by his successor besides ensuring equitable development in all the regions, benefiting all sections of society.
The meeting observed a 2-minute silence on the occasion and conveyed heartfelt condolences the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal peace to the noble soul and bestow courage and wisdom to his inheritors to carry forward his visionary agenda of peace and progress.
