| GDC Billawar organizes symposium on National Youth Day | | | Early Times Report
Billawar, Jan 12 : Red Ribbon Club of the Government Degree College Billawar today organised a symposium on the eve of "National Youth Day" on the topic "Role of Youth in AIDS Awareness". Prof. Sanjeev Gupta presided over the function. According to press release, a lot of students participated in the said symposium and threw light on the various ways the youth can contribute in disseminating awareness on AIDS. The performances of the students were adjudged by the jury comprising Prof Joginder Kumar, Lecturer Rupali Gupta and Lecturer Sunita on the bases of the content, pronunciation and presention. Arti of Semester-I was adjudged first, Yasmine of BA Part-III and Mohammad Bilal of Semester-I stood second and third respectively. Consolation prize was given to Manisha of BA part-III. Prof. Amit Kumar Sharma, in-charge Red Ribbon Club exhorted upon the students to come out of their comfort zone and spread the awareness about the AIDS among the masses. In the last Prof Joginder Kumar announced the result and also presented the vote of thanks. |
