RDA flays police action against medico, appeals DGP to intervene | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 12: Resident Doctors Association (RDA) Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu has condemned the illegal and unauthorized action of police when a police team entered into Medical Enclave resulting panic among families of medicos and sought immediate intervention from Director General of Police (DGP) in this matter. According to press statement issued by RDA, a Sub-Inspector of Police Station Bakshi Nagar along with some cops entered the residential area and created panic among the whole medical faculty. It further said that the action was without any permission or information from the Principal of institution. "This led to widespread anger and resentment among the medical fraternity and staff," RDA stated and condemned the action of police and have also decided to take a stern action against the police authority. Meanwhile RDA has also appealed to the Director General of Police (DGP) to intervene the above said issue and take action against the concerned cops, and assure the safe secure and peaceful environment inside the GMC campus. |
