| Jammu artist to participate in India Art Festival Delhi edition | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 12: Jammu artist Mahesh Sharma to participate in the upcoming Delhi edition of India Art Festival starting from January 14 to 17, 2016 at National Stadium, New Delhi.
India Art Festival is a leading contemporary art fair in India. It is a new model for dialogue and collaborations between artists, art galleries, art buyers and connoisseurs who come together every year under roof since 2011.
Forty galleries from India and abroad with over 350 artists are participating in this festival. Earlier, Mahesh Sharma's works have been selected for participation in the Annual State Art Exhibitions of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in the years 2008-09, 2009.-10, 2010-11, and 2012-13. His paintings are inspired by quiet introspections during meditation. The forms and colours are also inspired by the contemplative flow and Mother Nature.
His paintings get created with a feeling of oneness that indicates common flow of energies in all creation. An engineer by qualification, he has experimented on his own and has developed a technique where he creates paintings using delicate layers of paint. He lives between Jammu and New Delhi. |
