| MLC Jugal Kishore expresses grief over loss of lives in Ramnagar road accident | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 16: Leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in State Legislative Council MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma has expressed grave shock and grief over the bus tragedy in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district today causing loss of 11 precious lives and critical injuries to other passengers.
Expressing anguish over the causalities in the accident, MLC Jugal Kishore conveyed hearfelt sympathies with the bereaved families and other injured. He asked the administration and health authorities to take all necessary steps for the relief and best possible treatment to the injured. He asked the administration to identify the exact cause of the accident and take strict action against whosever responsible for it.
Jugal Kishore further said that though the government has announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 1 lakh to the next of kin of deceased and Rs 80,000 to the critically injured passengers, it is urged that the compensation should be enhanced further. |
