Kishtwar Police seizes another dump of 250 cement bags | Congress Sarpanch under scanner, RDD officials on back foot | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Early Times Report Kishtwar, Jan 16: In its continuous drive against deep rooted corruption in the government departments, Kishtwar police today seized another dump of 250 cement bags of Rural Development Department in Keshna area of Keshwan of Block Thakrie of Kishtwar District from a private house (Shanty) and the raid of police at various places in the area is still continuing when last report came in. As per the details available with "Early Times", after seizure of 132 bags of RDD cement on Friday, Kishtwar police party led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar Mohammad Afzal Wani under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Kumar Wazir and Additional SP Abdul Qayoom today conducted the search at various locations and found illegal dumping of government cement at private place of Hussain Dev allegedly dumped by the local GRS Irshad Ahmed Mir and other officials of the Rural Development Department with active support of another Congress Sarpanch of the area. As already reported Kishtwar police yesterday registered FIR No. 10/2016 against Congress Sarpanch Abdul Hamid Mir son of Nasrullah Mir (Sarpanch Keshwan-A), BJP's Naib Sarpanch Raj Kumar son of Mohan Lal and GRS of RDD Irshad Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir, all resident of Keshwan. While the name of Ward member Zaitoona Begum wife Bashir Ahmed Choudhary and VLW of RDD Irshad Ahmed, storekeeper GRS Shakir Hussain Shah son Fareed Ahmed Shah also surfaced during the course of preliminary investigation and they will also be quizzed in connection with the case. A senior police officer when contacted though confirmed the seizure of 250 bags of government cement from the private house, but refused to divulge more details adding that the search for tracing out illegal cement dumps is still going on in the area. Meanwhile "Early Times" got key access to the order of attachment of GRS Irshad Ahmed Mir who was attached by Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar Akther Hussain Qazi vide order No. ACDK/Estt/7086-87 dated 12-12-2015 on complaint filed by one Sajjad Hussain Kripak son of Nasrullah Kripak resident of Keshwan who in his complaint alleged that GRS Irshad Ahmed Mir demanded 70% share from him for releasing the payments in respect of construction of one bathroom constructed under BRGF for the year 2014-15 at Kripak Mohallah Keshna. "Pending inquiry into the matter, Irshad Ahmed Mir GRS Block Thakrie will remain attached in this office and shall be deemed to be relieved from the office of BDO Thakrie with immediate effect--- BDO Thakrie is directed not to draw the wages of Irshad Ahmed Mir GRS till further order" read ACD Kishtwar order dated 12-12-2015. Following ACD Kishtwar order, the accused GRS joined at ACD Kishtwar office on 14-12-2015 vide endorsement No. 733. Meanwhile the sources informed "Early Times" that despite blanket ban by ACD Kishtwar vide order vide Order No. ACDK/2016/7867-81 dated 1-1-2016 on cement works in the District due to lack of favorable atmosphere for cemented works for which optimum temperature should range between 15 to 20 degree Celsius, dispatching of such huge quantity of cement in the area raises many eye brows as according to locals, three trucks of cement were unloaded in the area in last few weeks with active involvement of some Sarpanches, Ward members and RDD officials. |
