MVD Samba organizes 'Motor-Bike Rally' "27th Road Safety Week" 1/16/2016 8:06:43 PM Early Times Report Samba, Jan 16: The Motor Vehicle Department Samba today organized 'Motor-Bike Rally' in connection with 27th Road Safety Week from New Bus Stand Samba to 17 Miles Restaurant. The rally was flagged off by SSP Samba Joginder Singh and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Samba Sonu Pargal. Around 100 Bikers participated in the rally carrying placards with road safety slogans and messages with both the biker and pillion rider wearing crash helmets. On the occasion SSP Samba appreciated the programme launched by MVD Samba and assured full cooperation from the District Police in this regard. While addressing the bikers he strongly exhorted upon the youth to always drive with discipline and wear crash helmets as it can save their lives. ARTO Samba Er. Kuldeep Singh also spoke on the occasion about different aspects of road safety and informed about the online services launched by MVD Samba regarding Registration of Vehicles and Learner's/ Driving licenses and disclosed that MVD Samba is the first district in the state which has started Sarathi version 4.0 which can be accessed through www.parivahan.gov.in. and now applicants can apply for learner's license online and learner's license are also being dispatched online. Youth for society Samba, Beopar Mandal Vijaypur and 17 Miles restaurant actively participated in the event.
