Jammu, Jan 16: A series of program on 'HIV/AIDS Awareness' organized by Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of Government College of Education, Jammu in collaboration with J & K AIDS prevention and control society concluded today with community level awareness programme conducted in Govt. Middle School, Bakshinagar, Jammu. School has been adopted by the college under Cluster Scheme of Higher Education Department, Government of J &K. Head, staff members and students of the school showed their immense interest in the topic and actively participated in the interaction with the student volunteers of Red Ribbon Club who explained in simple language the cause, consequence and preventive measures of HIV/AIDS. The whole program was coordinated by Dr Piyali Arora, Convener Red Ribbon Club, of the college and Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, coordinator adopted school, Govt. Middle School, Bakshinagar, Jammu. Community awareness program was also conducted in adopted school Govt. High School, Bhagwatinagar, Jammu, Coordinated by Dr Piyali Arora , Dr Mohd. Zubair coordinator adopted school Govt. High School, Bhagwatinagar, Jammu and student volunteers of Red Ribbon Club. Students and staff of the school showed whole hearted response in the interaction during awareness program. |
