Katra, Jan 16 : Wrestler Kaka of Amritsar in Punjab lifted "6th annual Sool-Pamote Kesari dangal title defeating Wrestler Farooq of Sarore in Jammu in the main bout that lasted for 17 minutes at village Pamote Nalla in Tehsil and District Reasi.
Wrestler Kaka was adjudged as the best Wrestler of the dangal which was organized by Sool-Pamote dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
The winner got a handsome cash prize of Rs 15,000/- by Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma and Chairman of the Dangal Committee Rattan Lal while runner-up Wrestler Farooq got the prize by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Raj Kumar (Baboo).
Treasurer, Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association was the chief guest on the the occasion, who distributed cash prize among the winners and runner-up Wrestlers. In all, 68 bouts were played in the one day long dangal.
The 2nd main bout was fought between Wrestler Gurpesh of Amritsar V/S Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu which was won by Gurpesh while the 3rd bout was won by Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu who defeated Kaka of R.S. Pura. The 4th bout was won by Roshan Lal of Muthi of J&K Police who defeated Guragent of Amritsar while 5th bout was won by Ajay Sharma of Landen Power House Udhampur who defeated Bobari of Sarore.
Dangal was organized under the supervision of organizing committee including Rattan Lal (Chairman), Raj Kumar, Joginder Lal, Surinder Kumar, Nek Ram, Chain Singh, Raghubir Lal, Bishan Dass, Jawhar Lal, Gian Chand (Panch), Yog Raj and Lal Singh Choudhary.
Technical officials who helped for conduct of Dangal included Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Raj Singh, Laikat Ali, Rajinder Kumar, Allah Mai (Raga), Tulinder Kumar, Mukesh Khajuria, Bansi Lal, Raj Kumar (Baboo) and Murli Dhar (Munna).
Other Results were as :- Bobari beat Johnny, Babba beat Dillar Khan, Muneer Khan beat Bodh Raj, Amit beat Rajesh Sharma, Jagga beat Vijay Kumar, Akram beat Sukhmaan, Rashid beat Baboo, Rahul beat Salman Khan, Bagga beat Asrif, Gopal Sharma beat Panku, Makhana beat Angrej Singh, Murad Ali beat Kaka, Sanjeev beat Rajinder, Jamat Ali beat Shiver Khan and Dheeraj beat Rustam Choudhary.
The proceedings of the dangal were conducted by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Allah Mai (Ranga), while welcome address was presented by Rattan Lal, chairman of Dangal Committee. The vote of thanks was presented by Raj Kumar (Baboo).
