Arms, ammunition recovered in central Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 19: Security forces unearthed a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition, including detonators and wireless sets in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, official source said here today. They said on a tip-off, Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a joint operation at Sheikh Mohalla Lar in Ganderbal district this morning. However, after a long search, security forces finally unearthed a hideout and recovered large cache of arms and ammunition, including four detonators, a wireless set without antenna, two remotes of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), one magazine alongwith 30 rounds of live ammunition. They said the recovery was made from an orchard. However, no one was arrested, they said. |
