Early Times Report

Mendhar, Feb 19: The social and political persons of Mohra-Kallar have complained about water shortage in the area and demanded early completion of the Mohra-Kallar water supply scheme pending since long.
Locals in a meeting alleged that water supply scheme for the area was initiated but the project yet has not seen the light as concerned don't bother to expedite needful action.
"Over 15 years back work was started on it but the project couldn't enable the public here to have drinking water a need which not only the human beings feel, even any living being can't escape from the sufferings where it is non-existent, locals said.
The locals also complained that they had conveyed their grievances to the department concerned time and again but to no avail.
They alleged that though there could be wrong in the system, but such a delay, especially for water like schemes, can't be morally justified. They said that poor people were forced to fetch drinking water from conventional water sources, which is not a safe practice.
