Jan assails PDP for thrusting RSS agenda on J&K | | | JAMMU, Feb 19 : Assailing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for facilitating the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in thrusting RSS ideology on the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the Youth National Conference (YNC) said that the PDP is doing it for remaining glued to the power. Speaking at a function held here today at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan held to welcome entry of prominent youth in the YNC, its president Ajaz Jan said the divisive policy of the BJP has done immense harm to the unity of the state and the situation has further become complex with PDP assuming the role of facilitator. Jan complimented the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh for rejecting divisive forces and hoped that they will maintain the glorious tradition of composite ethos by rejecting and isolating elements hell bent on creating wedge in the society. He expressed concern over the JNU incidents and said the students of the state, pursuing academics in various parts, have a reason to feel insecure due to fear psychosis being generated by the divisive forces. He hoped that the people across the country will appreciate the gravity of the situation and foil all attempts of peace breakers. Jan welcomed the new entrants into party fold and urged them to fan out in their respective areas, identify the problems confronted to the people and seek their immediate redressal at appropriate forums. |
