60 cattle perished, two houses gutted

Udhampur, Feb 19: A major fire incident atleast 60 sixty animals got burnt and two houses were completely gutted in accidental fires in village Panchari and Chenani of Udhampur district. However no loss of human life or injury has been reported so far, reports said.
Sharing details of incidents police sources said, "A fire mysteriously broke out in a house belonging to Gandarb Singh s/o Moti Ram of Ladda and enveloped the whole house including the cattle shed. "Though there was no loss or injury to human life is reported but three Buffalo, five cow and fifty cattle (sheep and Goats) two oxen were charred in village Ladda Block Panchari and District Udhampur area, late last night.
Meanwhile in another similar case of fire, the house belonging to Omkar Chand s/o Kasro Ram of Sira in Latti Mrothi of district Udhampur, today got gutted in accidental fire at around 8:10 am.
On receiving information locals along with police assisted the firemen in dousing the fire flames and controlled the fire from spreading to the nearby houses.
