Early Times Report SAMBA, Feb 19: Field publicity unit Kathua in close coordination and cooperation with Education, ICDS, Rural Sanitation, Rural Development Departments and Lead Bank, State Bank of India, Vijaypur organized a day long intensive awareness programme on special outreach Programmes, Phase - II at Guru Nanak Dev Higher Secondary School, Ramgarh, Samba today. The programme was organized in order to sensitize and mobilize the masses in general and rural masses in particular especially at the grass root level about various aspects and provisions of these National public welfare programmes. The programme was attended by a large number of audience that includes; Teachers, Anganwadi Workers, Helpers, Panches, Sarpanches, local people of the area besides students of the host school. Experts were made available by the organizers for making the audience aware about BBBP, SBA, PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY and Skill India. Shri Veerji Koul, Chief Manager, Lead Bank, SBI Vijaypur and Sh. Deepak Dubey, BDO, Ramgarh delivered keynote address on the themes respectively and provided detailed information to the audience about these national public welfare programmes. While interacting with the audience Shri N. Gulshan Raina (IIS) Programme Head, DFP, J&K urged upon the audience to avail maximum benefits of such public welfare schemes which are directly linked with the upliftment of socio economic condition of the masses in general and weaker sections of the society in particular. Presenting vote of thanks, Jarnail Singh, Chairman of the host institution appreciated the efforts made by DFP in making the rural masses aware about various central sponsored schemes and programmes launched by Govt. of India from time to time for the benefits, upliftment and safeguard of the people of the country in general and rural populace in particular. A grand awareness rally on the above themes was also organized after the programme, the aim of which was to disseminate the message of awareness among those how could not attended the awareness programme due to some personal reasons. |
