Jammu, Feb 23: Crime Branch has registered a case under relevant sections against former ARTO Samba, SHO Vijaypur and sale and purchase agent for cheating and forgery, following a report published by Early Times on January 12. According to copy of FIR trio have been booked under FIR number 11/2016 at P/S Crime Branch Jammu on February 6, 2016. "The omission and commissions, therefore, on the part of Shoail Ahmed son of Gulzar Ahmed resident of Iqbal Chowk Gujjar Nagar Jammu, a sale and purchase agent, Pawan Sharma the then ARTO Samba, Ajay Singh then SHO Vijaypur and others prima facie, constituted offences punishable under section 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC r/w sec. S(2) act svt, 2006", the copy of FIR read, adding that a formal case is registered in PS Crime Branch Jammu. Complainant, Thoru Khan, a resident of Gujjar Nagar Jammu had purchased a car (Polo Volkswagen) from Shoail Ahmed in February 2014, had filled a compliant with SVO Jammu seeking action against the nexus, has been fleecing innocent people. "Agent, Shoail made a RC of the vehicle fraudulently with connivance of the then ARTO Samba and handed over to Thoru Khan, unaware about foul play, the buyer caught in trap of nexus", copy of FIR read. "The vehicle was actually owned by on Zorawar Singh, a resident of Samba, who was defaulter of Grameen Bank, Swankha More, Samba for not paying installments of loan taken for the vehicles", the sources said, adding that happened too in absence of owner of the vehicle Zorawar Singh who was behind the bars in Narcotic case at Kapurthala Punjab. SHO Vijaypur in a self-styled manner in January 2015 deputed ASI Girdhari Lal and Constable Manzoor Hussain, who lifted the car from Gujjar Nagar, without the knowledge of the complainant. "After seizure the car remained with SHO Vijaypur, without registering a seizure report in the police station. He kept the said vehicle with him by illegal means and used it for 20-30 days for personal use", said sources. Later the car was handed over to Zorawar Singh, the trio tried to hush up the case, but finally the CB registered a case. When contacted SSP Crime Branch Jammu, Mubassir Latifi said that the CB has registred a case in this regard. However, the FIR has been stayed in court of law, he said. |
