RSS hardens stand, hits out at PDP | | | Early Times Report jammu, Feb 23: The RSS, which had thrown its full weight behind the PDP-BJP alliance and coalition government and described the formation of the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state a "noble" experiment, has suddenly taken a complete U-turn. On Sunday, it used a very strong language against the PDP. The attack on the PDP was not launched by an ordinary RSS man. It was launched by Rakesh Sinha, the RSS ideologue, who frequently puts across the RSS point of view and defends his organization whenever it is under severe attack. Sinha is also a University Professor, who appears on almost all the news channels to defend not only the RSS but also the actions and policies of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre. Rakesh Sinha hitting out at PDP is very significant because he had been defending the PDP-BJP alliance to the best of his ability and capacity since long and was critical of those who used to dismiss the coalition between the PDP and the BJP "unnatural". His statement is bound to disturb the PDP leadership, which claims that it seeks solution to the political issue of Kashmir within the Indian constitution. Besides, the timing of his statement was very significant. He launched a scathing attack against the PDP at a time when the PDP and the BJP were still exploring the possibility of rejoining hands and forming the Government in the state. |
