Early Times Report

REASI, Feb 23: Despite of Ensuring the proper distribution of Ration to the different areas, the CAPD Reasi is once again in limelight for its failure to ensure proper mechanism for monitoring the supply of ration at various outlets of the CAPD functioning in Tehsil Katra, putting the genuine rationees into great inconvenience. Sources in sharp contrast within the CAPD Reasi office told Early Times that the store keeper in the Katra office is running a nexus with some of the blue eyed for some personal interest. Sources said that the Store keeper used to damp the main supply of ration either in the private rented stores near the favorites or sometimes in the stores of the same dealers, instead of storing the same in the departmental stores and such dealers used to sell the ration illegally without depositing cash as well as submitting permit to the TSO office and thereafter deposit the price of the ration within the office after collecting cash in bundles. The sources said that just only to do some mischief with the department, the said store keeper have taken buildings on rent at a slightly far off places outside the Municipal limits. Sources shared that as in a recent case, a consensus of the Storekeeper and a ration dealer was exposed, as the former damped the Sugar stock in the personal store of the blue eyed private ration dealer. The dealer being a used to of the consensus, sold around seven quintals of Sugar without being watched by the department but later on the Tehsil Supply officer took cognizance after he came to know the matter and shifted the Stock to the Governmental Store. The sources said that just only to do some mischief with the department, the said store keeper have taken buildings on rent at a slightly far off places outside the Municipal limits.
Sources within the TSO Office Katra said that though there is adequate supply of ration under Public Distribution System but still the stores have insufficient stocks due to the misappropriations being committed by such storekeepers.
AD CAPD Reasi when contacted said, " I don't have any idea about the matter you are talking about, but I will enquire the matter myself". He added, " I will suspend both the Store Keeper as well as the licence of the ration dealer as if there is such illegal nexus being run by both".
