Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: Several police Inspectors are eying Bari Brahmana police station following the attachment of its SHO over the Sarore incident in which one person was yesterday killed and several others, including four cops, were wounded in a clash between police and land grabbers. Police sources said three Inspectors, who were attached to the Samba DPL in the absence of any vacant police station in the district, were among the front runners. "There are some, who are trying for a posting in Samba district only to head Bari Brahmana police station," the sources added. Of the three Inspectors at the DPL, one is considered to be politically well connected. Though he wanted a posting in Jammu district, he was posted by the authorities concerned in Samba district. He had activated all his resources for a posting as SHO of Bari Brahmana police station, sources said. The other two were also said to be taking rounds of their political masters and senior police officers, sources informed. All of them are interested to take over Bari Brahmana police station because of its proximity to Jammu.
