Jammu, Feb 23: Police claimed to have arrested a bootlegger alongwith 48 pouches of liquor during a naka checking at Nagrota in city outskirts. a case has been registered in this regard.
Police said, "The accused has been identified as Mukhtayar Ali S/o Barkat Ali R/o Katal Batal Nagrota."
According to police spokesperson, police party from Police Station Nagrota laid a routine naka at near Kandoli Mandir Chowk and it intercepted a mini bus bearing registration No JK02E-3386 driven by Mukhtayar Ali.
"During search of vehicle police party recovered 48 pouches of illicit excise Liquor of 180 mls, police spokesperson said.
He said the accused arrested and illicit Liquor was seized by the Police. Meanwhile case under FIR No. 46/2016 u/s 48-A Excise stands registered and further investigation of the case is going on, police said. |
