As per the details available with Early Times, people hailing from Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Padder, Keshwan, Sarthal, Sarror and Kishtwar town assembled at Aadhaar enrolment centre at New DC office complex here. Staying at Kishtwar for such a long period was a costly affair for them, they added. The employees who had been asked to get the Aadhaar card for felicitating smooth withdrawal of their salaries from March 2016 onwards also rued the slow pace of work at the Aadhaar card enrolment centre. "I am coming here since last one week for correction of my date of birth, but all in vain," said an employee. Another employee said that his parentage was written wrongly in the Aadhaar card, but it was not being corrected despite the fact that he had approached the centre staff several times. Staff at the centre said they earlier had ten computers, but they were now left with six only. The heavy rush and irregular power supply were other reasons for slow place of work. Despite the availability of Aadhaar card enrolment centres at Chhatroo, Mughal Maidan and other areas, people were coming to Kishtwar for getting Aadhaar cards. They urged the people to approach the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centres to avoid inconvenience to themselves. |
