Kulgam, Mar 4: A day-long Special Outreach Programme (SOP) was organised by Anantnag unit of the Directorate of Field Publicity on the themes Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna and Mission India .
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion were Sheikh Modh. Yousaf Community Health Officer, Koimoh, Mukhtar Ahmad Itoo (CDPO, Koimoh), Basharat Ahmad Itoo (FLCC, JK Bank Kulgam), Bashir Ahmad Lone (Naib Tehsildar Koimoh).
Sheikh Yousaf in his message enlightened the gathering about the various benefits that mother gets on opting for institutional delivery under Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram.
He urged the field workers to educate the common people to do away with the stereotype behaviour of the people for institutional deliveries. He urged the workers about the urgency of Saving and educating girl child.
The programme concluded with a mass rally in which hundreds of ASHA workers, Anganwari workers, PRI members and locals participated. |
