Srinagar, Mar 4: Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir, (VOK), has booked executive officer (EO) of Bandipora Municipal Committee (BMC) for his alleged act of getting job in the department 30 years back on the basis of a fake diploma. Sources in VOK said Ghulam Hassan Shah, who is in charge EO in BMC, had been booked for his alleged wrongdoings. He said a thorough probe was conducted in the matter after VOK received a complaint that Shah, a resident of Gundpora, Bandipora, allegedly possessed a fake diploma of Sanitary Inspector. The complainant alleged that Shah had produced the forged diploma to secure his entry in urban local bodies 30 years back. During investigation, VOK found that Shah had appeared in Sanitary Inspector's Part-II exam in August 1988 during Jammu and Kashmir State Medical Faculty Examination through Charitable Mobile Hospital in Srinagar and failed. However, under the guise of rechecking of papers, he managed to obtain a pass certificate later. VOK found that no diploma was actually issued in favour of the accused by the State Para Medical Council which works under Government Medical College, Srinagar. Sources alleged that Shah had managed a fake diploma dishonestly and fraudulently to secure job in the department of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir. Accordingly, a case FIR No 07/2016 under section 5(1)(d) read with section 5(2) PC Act svt 2006 and sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of RPC was registered against Shah at VOK police station. |
