Auqaf Committee be elected by voting : JKML

Jammu, Mar 4 : All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Leaders today said that the Auquaf Committee be elected by voting system.
Addressing a press conference about dissolution of Auquaf Administration and Chairman, JKML leaders said that funds is generated from Dargahs, Aquaf Rented Shops, grave yards and lands being misused.
"Retired, working govt officers must not be appointed in Auquaf committee. The committee must have the power to recruit the deserving candidates for the post /duty which he/she will be assigned. Moreover, the members of the Aquaf Committee must have ultimate power to take decision in this regard", they said.
They further said that the committee must work only for the Development of Auquaf.
"All the Chief Ministers hailing from Kashmir Region always has nominated/ elected /employed/ engaged their own people hailing from Kashmir Region for their vested interest. That the previous Chief Minister of J&K State also committed the same crime by electing his own people from Kashmir Region", they alleged.
They requested upon Governor of J&K State to dissolve the present Auquaf Committee/ Chairman/ Incharge including all the administration of Auquaf of J&K State.
Other who addressed the press conference wereHaji Guizar Ahmed EX MLC, Rajouri, Haji Fazal, Ahmed president 'Choudhary Haji Malli Memorial Instute of Education, Jammu, Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh, General Secretary Jamia Masjid, Talab Khatikan, Jammu, Anam Hafiz Chaudhary Ex- Member Advisory, Board, J&K Govt., Advocate Zaffar Iqbal Choudhary Secretary, Fassees Majeed and Javed Iqbal choudhary.
