EESSCSB celebrates 'World Arbor Day' 3/21/2016 11:06:56 PM Early Times Report Doda, Mar 21: In order to celebrate 'World Arbor Day', the Educational, Environmental, Social, Sports and Cultural Society Bhalessa (EESSCSB) in collaboration with JK Forest and Education Department organized a plantation drive. As per press release, the drive was launched by SDPO Gandoh BK Ganju by planting a Deodar Sapling in the premises of Hr. Sec. School Kilhotran .The inaugural function was attended by Tehsildar Gandoh,Major Rizwan 26 RR ,SHO Gandoh Tariq Hussain Naik, Range officer Zafrullah Sheikh, Jaswant Bharthi IC Principal, Pardeep kumar Lec and Basharat Hussain Dar IC Social Forestry Bhalessa. About 500 plants of different species were planted throughout the day by volunteers. More than 5000 plants of Almus species were distributed free of cost among the locals for further plantation in waste land. At the end an awareness programme regarding the celebration of day was organised under the presidentship of SDPO Gandoh. Speaking on the occasion Chairman of the Society Mohammad Ayoub Zargar said that main objective of this plantation drive was to create the sense of responsibility towards aforestration.
