BJP spokespersons in rat race to issue statements on same issue | Hit out at Rahul Gandhi over Uttrakhand tweets | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 21: BJP spokespersons, it seems are in rat race to react and over react on same issue, no matter whether this reaction is warranted at the state level or not. In taking dig at Congress Rahul Gandhi over his recent tweets against NDA government at centre, two J&K state spokespersons today 'poked' their nose to take on him with loads of criticism and choicest glossary of words explicit with denigration and disapproval to what he said. In the set of press releases sent through BJP's mail to media today it was astonishing to find two spokespersons Brig Anil Gupta and Retd IGP SS Bijral having chosen same issue to react upon in a strong way hitting out at Rahul Gandhi over his twitter statements on political developments in Uttarakhand. Even though both have used different contexts in hitting out at Rahul Gandhi, the issue remains the same, which is being seen as something uncalled for and unwarranted, at least here in J&K. No matter the contexts both the spokespersons of BJP are based on facts , particularly in reminding that toppling popular governments in states was a favourite play of Congress, while elaborating it with instance of one in J&K in 1984 when popular government of Farooq Abdullah was toppled by defecting 12 MLA's of NC with promised seat of chief Ministership to Farooq Abdullah's brother-in-law G.M.Shah, party leaders are looking at the developments which ought not have been touched upon at the state level, instead at the national level by national level spokespersons. Moreover, the party leaders are viewing issuing statements on same issue by the two spokespersons same day as nothing but indulging in rat race just to register themselves in a conspicuous manner in the eyes of the central leadership. This has not augured well also for the fact that reaction against Rahul Gandhi on such a serious matter should have been summed up and discussed with the party leadership or both should have at least consulted the party prior to issuing statements with reaction against Congress and its Vice President today. |
