CUJ inks MOU with TGU

Jammu, Mar 21 : The Central University of Jammu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Taj Global Understanding (TGU), a Not-for-Profit Organization founded in 2007 and located in the Commonwealth of Virginia (United States).
According to press release, TGU was originally created to facilitate cross-cultural exchange and volunteer programmes between the United States and India. Globally, Taj Global Understanding aims to enable participants to achieve international exposure and valuable life experience to provide platforms for self growth and personality development through cross-cultural development and volunteer service programs, to remove stereotypes and foster dialogue between nations and to harness human capital to serve those in need.
By signing this MoU, the TGU shares the responsibility of providing Central University Jammu students with a variety of educational and cross cultural platforms to enhance the educational experience through practical life experience, to work closely with CUJ to screen and select qualified students as well as to program complete program management before, during, and after the program and to advise Central University Jammu faculty and management regarding additional international educational platforms for students as well as strategic advice regarding implementation of future programs.
The MoU was signed by Jit Singh, Registrar CUJ and Brad Baldwin, President Taj Global Understanding in the presence of Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-chancellor CUJ and Mr. Lokesh Verma, Academic Coordinator CUJ. This event was graced by Mr. Vikas Manhas, India representative, TGU, all the faculty members of School of Business and Administrative staff.
Keeping up with the momentum, an interactive session was held with the students, research scholars, faculty members of Department of Travel and Tourism Management with the representatives of TGU. The event was coordinated by Dr Shahid Mushtaq and Dr Bharti Gupta faculty members from School of Business Studies.
