SCIA criticizes govt for non availability of un-interrupted power supply 3/21/2016 11:17:34 PM Jammu, March 21 : Small Scale Industries Association, Digiana Jammu today criticized government for non availability of un-interrupted power supply, denial of ownership right to sons of soil, shabby condition of Digiana Industrial Estate. According to press release, an urgent meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Jatinder Aul, President of the association, in which they said that in spite of the government order to provide 24 hours power supply to the Industrial areas of the State and the power supply to the Industrial Areas should be supplied through 'Dedicated Industrial Feeders' but the step motherly treatment is being given to the Industrial Estate Digiana Jammu as the power is still being supplied from the Domestic Feeders with frequent Power Breakdowns. Our request for the setting up of Small Grid Station in Digiana Industrial Estate is lying with the Power Development Department since last five years but no action has been taken so far which shows the callous approach of the concerned departments. They also highlighted issue regarding the non availability of D.G. set subsidy to the units set up prior to the announcement of Industrial Incentive by the government, the said Incentive is available to the new units set up to overcome from the problem of frequent power supply. Whereas the units located in the Digiana Industrial Estate are old and the worst sufferer due to frequent break down in the power supply and denial of D.G.
