Interaction Forum holds interactive session

RAJOURI, Mar 21: Carrying forward its campaign of building broader unity of the people of Jammu Province, the Interaction Forum-Jammu Province held its INTERACTIVE SESSION at Rajouri. This was second Session of the Forum in the series of holding interactions at district levels.
Earlier district level session was held Kathua. Members of the Central Body of the Forum joined Session at Rajouri where prominent persons from various areas and sections of society of the District presented their views.
The session was chaised by KB Jandial IAS Secretary (Retd.). The presidium comprised Harbans Lal (District & Sessions Judge Retd), H.C.Jalmeria Advocate, BS Jamwal Retd. DC, Capt. Lalit Sharma, IFS, Addl. PCCF (Retd.) president NMC Subash Shastri, Advocate Abrar Ahmed and Prof. M.K. Waqar.
Advocate Zahid Malik conducted the proceedings.
Ashok Sharma former legislature introduced the subject and welcomed the gathering. He highlighted the specific issues of Rajouri-Poonch districts. KB Jandial IAS Retd highlighted the need of development of tourism potential of the Jammu province and stressed the need for taking up specific projects to be completed in time bound manner.HC Jalmeria Advocate convener of Forum said that despite double area and more voters, Jammu Province is given lesser seats in Assembly and Parliament. Jammu Province deserves 50 seats in Assembly and 4 seats in Lok Sabha. By denial of delimitation political discrimination has been perpetuated against this province. He stressed for broader unity of the people of Jammu Province with all inclusive and collective leadership approach.
The other participants who expressed their views included: Advocate Rajeshwar, Advocate Abrar Khan, Vikrant Sharma, Sarfraz Malik, Vinod Sharma, Mohd Aslam, Sajjid Mirza, Aizaz Ul Haq, Neelam, Sushil Kumar, Arjun Sharma.
All the participants overwhelmingly emphasized to forge broader unity of people in Jammu Province overcoming caste, religion or territorial diversities.
