People have lots of hope from Mehbooba, seek all-round development | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Mar 28: People enthusiastically welcomed the decision of both BJP and PDP for new alliance and formation of government under People's Democratic Party, PDP's president Mehbooba Mufti. However they showed their unhappiness to previous alliance of due neglect of Jammu region especially border areas. A youth hailing from border area, Aditya Verma, welcomed the formation of the government and sought special recruitment package for people hailing from border area as per promised by BJP party during election campaign but nothing was done in this regard for previous alliance of the parties. Verma demanded special compensation for farmers whose land have been occupied by BSF and frequently affected by cross border shelling. He hoped Govt led by Mehbooba Mufti should initiate some positive steps in this regard. Pankaj Dogra, hoped that what was done in previous alliance must not be repeated and new government must work with new enthusiasm. Dogra demanded rehabilitation for Kashmiri Pandits, citizenship of West Pakistan refugees and security for people living in border areas besides all-round development in Jammu region. Sohan Lal, an Industrial hoped to simplify the process of establishment new small scale units in the state and further wished new government to work for the welfare of Industrialists. He said all promises made during election campaign must be fulfill on priority basis to bring respite for public. |
