| BJP MLC seeks Mehbooba's blessings | | |

Jammu, Mar 28: Keeping in view intensification of infighting in the State unit, BJP high-command is likely to depute some senior leaders to control this internal fight among top leaders of the J&K. Internal fighting in the BJP is intensifying with every passing day because number of those who are eyeing on ministerial berths is number with every passing day.
What is more interestingly some BJP leaders have sought support of PDP leadership to get ministerial berths because there is feeling among them that support of PDP leadership would ensure ministerial berths to them.
Credible sources in the corridors of power said that a leader of the BJP, who is member of the Legislative Assembly had met PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday to seek her support to get ministerial berth. This MLC of BJP, sources said, has already started a campaign to give an impressing that he is only capable and intelligent among all the legislators of the BJP. This leader was made MLC at the cost of many senior party leaders, who have been associated with the since long and this leader was not even a primary member of the party when he was made MLC.
On the other hand, ego clash between senior leaders of BJP has been intensified because most of the senior leaders are not happy with the style of functioning of Legislature Party leader, Dr Nirmal Singh and general secretary Ashok Koul. While as Ashok Koul is trying to create his own lobby within the party on the other hand, Nirmal Singh is confined only to furthering his personal ambition. Singh is protecting only some power brokers and businessmen in the party to dislodge dedicated party workers. |
