Dissent in BJP coming out as 'rebellion' | Distribution of portfolios divides party | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 28: The BJP is facing open rebellion within the party over the distribution of the portfolios. According to sources, some the of leaders have threatened to work as opposition members it they are not inducted in the Ministry. Sources said the some of the former Ministers are resenting the 'use-and-throw' policy of the BJP State leadership. Sources said a former Minister inducted by the BJP has made it clear that if the party doesn't consider him as his ally then he can sit in the opposition and will work for the cause of the Jammu. "I secured win against the Modi wave after being denied ticket. I worked for the cause of the Jammu. The party was keeping me in good humour till it needed for crucial phase and now they are trying to settle score. If that's the case then I am ready to sit in opposition and will continue to work for the cause of the Jammu, which the party has neglected for the sake of the power," said a former BJP Minister. Sources said a section of the BJP leadership is trying to ensure that capable and people who can stand up for the cause, are pushed back so that they can dictate their terms. "The BJP senior leadership feels that only they should be allowed to dictate the terms. They are not interested in the cause of the Jammu and taking on corruption for which they have been voted. Some are even using this opportunity to have some real good material benefits," said another former Minister. Sources said that with the dissent creeping up fast and with the Central leadership keeping tab on the things, may soon step in to sort out the issue itself. "The Central leadership is likely to step in if the things don't get settle down. The allegations of the money bags making rounds is a very serious development and it can affect the image of the party seriously," said another senior leader. |
