DSE resorts to transfers on pick & choose basis ahead of Govt formation
3/29/2016 12:14:43 AM

Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 28: As the Governor's rule is all set to end with the formation of a popular Government by PDP in alliance with BJP, some top officers are at rush in affecting the orders of their choice and interest.
The Department of School Education seems to be ahead of others in this regard as the Director School Education is issuing transfers and postings orders on pick and choose basis despite Government decision of no transfers before April-May.
These transfer orders on pick and choose basis are being issued in violation of the transfer policy and for maintaining secrecy of the wrongdoing, single orders are being made. However, a big number of such orders have been issued within days, particularly after the recent political developments for Government formations in Jammu Kashmir, sources explained.
Pertinent to mention that as per recently announced transfer policy in the School Education Department, transfers in Summer zone will be affected only in April-May and January-Feb in Winter zone.
As the formal oath ceremony and Government formation is likely to take place in first week of April and there is around a week for the same, the arbitrary act of Director School Education Jammu has triggered resentment among teaching community here. Before the scheduled time for mass transfers in April-May, the Director is issuing orders on pick and choose basis so that the blue eyed teachers may be suitably adjusted prior to that and greasing of palms for the same is not ruled out, explained a teacher.
