The changing colours of Karra

Early Times Report
srinagar, Mar 28: Once considered as the most rebellious voice within the PDP and antagonistic towards the BJP-PDP bonhomie in Jammu and Kashmir, Tariq Hameed Karra is nowadays leaving his people and workers in a fix over the sudden change in his policies.
In an interview on February 9, this year, Karra said that he has given Mehbooba only two options which include either joining hands with the Congress or askihg for the mid-term polls. He had stated that going with the BJP should not be an option for the PDP.
Furthermore, at a time when late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was much concerned about making Modi's rally in Srinagar on November 9, 2015 a success, it was Karra who reportedly asked his workers not to attend the rally.
In his interview, Karra said as for as RSS is concerned, "we have witnessed RSS's anti Kashmir utterances and activities on ground zero right from 1952, when the State of Jammu and Kashmir entered into an agreement with Union of India . The agreement is popularly known Delhi agreement. And without getting into its merits and demerits, it had conferred certain position to State of Jammu and Kashmir in the Union of India whereby by the distinct identity of the State of Jammu and Kashmir was upheld. It was done in tune with the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution of India. And it was at this time when RSS led by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee fueled the State of Jammu and Kashmir especially Jammu region, on communal lines by spear-heading an agitation when RSS demanded Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan, Ek Nishan (One Constitution, One Prime Minister and One State symbol/One Flag). It is since then RSS has been eying on the State of Jammu and Kashmir for its Ideological, Social and Cultural Invasion. Unfortunately the present PDP-BJP alliance provided a long sought passage to their hyper nationalist elements to fulfill their cherished desire. So having explained the historical perspective for which RSS stands in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. I have stood out to fight out RSS politically to save Kashmir and Kashmiris including people from Chenab Valley and Pir Panchal from their nefarious designs, which is Anti Kashmir/ Anti Muslim. With other political parties, it could be my battle of Ideas but as for as RSS or any right wing party is concerned, whose core agenda, may it be hidden or open, is hyper nationalism which hits the very psyche of all Muslims of the State, irrespective of the region, it is battle of conscience. I will fight to my breath, whichever way I can, to protect Kashmir, Kashmiriyat and the distinct constitutional and religious identity of our State. I must put it on record that despite being only Muslim majority State in India, the hyper nationalism of RSS runs counter to the absorbing and secular nature of the general people of the State," Karra said.
But now, tables seem to have turned around and Karra could be seen accompanying the PDP chief everywhere. What is making the workers and the common people wonder is how hurriedly are the politicians changing colours.
What would be a million dollar question is that whether Karra still upholds would he used to say earlier.
