Ishaq, Ajay of Udhampur share Bhagtha dangal title | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 28 : Ishaq (Lalu) of Bajrangi Akhara in Jammu and Ajay Kumar Sharma of Udhampur shared the 6th Annual Bhagtha Kesari Dangal, which was organised by Peer Baba Jakh Devta Dangal Committee Bhagtha in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Village Bhagtha in district Reasi. Both these wrestlers shared the cash prize of Rs 8,000 each. The award was presented by chief guest, president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ram Singh and Sat Paul Singh. President of Bhagtha Dangal Committee, Ram Singh presided while Ashwani Kumar Sanmotra was guest of honour. In all, 51 bouts were played in this day-long event. In the second main bout between Bobari of Sarore and Babba of Kot Bhawal in Jammu again ended in a draw, resulting into both wrestlers shared Rs 6,000 each prize. Zakker of Sarore, who defeated Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhawal Akhara Domana, bagged the third bout. In fourth main bout, Murad Ali of Domana defeated Gopal Sharma of Jindrah while Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police outplayed Muneer Khan of Nagrota in the fifth main bout. Peer Baba Jakh Devta Dangal Committee and technical officials who helped for the conduct of Dangal included Ram Singh (president), Sat Paul Singh, Angrej Singh, Jagdev Singh, Vipan Kotwal, Hari Chand, Ravi Kumar, Heem Raj, Hemat Singh Wazir, Vakeel Singh, Ram Chand, Tulinder Kumar and Murli Dhar (Munna). Other bouts (Results): Kalu of Bishnah beat Vijay of Bai Bajaltha, Nishu of Jammu beat Ajeet of Jasserkot, Kartar Singh of Narkote beat Om Parkash of Panthal, Laikat Ali of Panthal beat Billu of Kot Bhawal, Balwan Singh of Reasi beat Jamat Ali of Nagrota, Arif of Manwal beat Balvinder of Jammu, Rustam Choudhary of Jammu beat Shabir Khan of Manwal, Bharat Bushan of Jammu beat Chain Singh of Reasi, Sunil of Chopra Shop beat Dheeraj Singh of Jungalgali and Surjit Singh of Reasi beat Qadir of Majaltha. The proceeding of this dangal conducted by Tulinder Kumar, while Ram Singh welcomed the distinguished gathering and Sat Paul Singh presented vote of thanks. |
