| PDD Casual/Need Based Workers demand release of wages | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 28 : One day protest demonstration was staged by Casual/Need Based Workers of PDD under the supervision of Akhil Sharma, State president, Shesh Kumar demanding timely release of wages.
Speaking on the occasion, they said presently 3232 Casual/Need Based workers are serving in different divisions of Elect. Maintt. & RE wing, Jammu amongst which a good number of need based workers have rendered more man 7 years their continuous services at their respective places of posting and demanded employment opportunities to these need based workers.
They alleged that department has not been releasing the monthly wages to these workers regularly which has made them to suffer hard, as they face lot of difficulties in meeting their day to day domestic needs for their family members in absence of any other reliable source income. Since all these workers have got no any other source of income expect what they draw from the deptt. as their monthly wages with holding the same adds to their sufferings as they face difficulties in meeting their domestic needs. |
