Sikh organizations condemn derogatory remarks over Sikh community on social networking sites

Jammu, Mar 30: Representatives of various Sikh Youth organizations includïng Baba Banda Singh Bahadur International Awareness Group, Sikh Youth Welfare Front Janimu and Sikh Noujawan Sabha Jammu have strongly condemned the acts of hatemonger's on facebook against the Sikh religion and have demanded action against all such communal elements.
Addressing a joint press conference, Sikh youth leaders along with Sikh preachers disclosed the press that we would start awareness campaign with the cooperation of State Gurudwara Prabandhak Board (SGPB), DGPC Jammu, Sikh Intellectuals and all the Panthak Sikh Organizations, in entire Jammu region for protecting their religion and exposing the Anti-sikh forces in Jammu.
They alleged that Deepak Thakur of Jammu at present based in Malaysia was posting derogatory remarks against Sikh religion on facebook and their vigilant Sikh youths after downloading the entire details approached DGPC Jammu and after joint sitting with Secretary DGPC Jammu, Chairman Sikh Intellectual Circles J&K, Ex- Secretary DGPC, and other officer bearers.
We had also complained to SPP office, Jammu on 28 March 2016 and demanded stern action against them as soon as possible.
Sikh youth leaders and preachers said that we are proud to be Sikhs because 90% of Sikhs sacrificed their lives for India's freedom struggle, their 9th Guru Teg Bahadur Ji sacrifice his life to protect Hindu religion, they contribute 33% of income being only 2.4% in India.
Sikh youth leaders and sikh preachers also cautioned the media and sikh community that certain selfish elements who were not remotely involved in this case are circulating their photographs and stories in a section of press to mislead the sikh community but they feel that at this juncture everybody must encourage they dedicated sikh youths to take care of they interests.
