Naib Tehsildar visits GITI Mendhar, several trade classes without students 3/31/2016 12:08:55 AM MS Nazki Early Times Report Mendhar, Mar 30: Taking the cognizance of news report Sub Divisional Magistrate directed Naib Tehsildar to take stock of situation pertaining to Government Industrial Training Institute (GITI) here today. Following the directions of SDM Thakur Sher Singh after taking the cognizance of news report carried by Early Times, Naib Tehsildar Aftab Hussain today conducted the visit of GITI Mendhar where classes of three vital trades Electrician, welder and plumber were without students. He found only 39studtns present out of 152 in the Institute. He took serious note of the absentees besides warned of serious consequences of the absent instructs too. A vehicle Tempo trax bearing Registration No. JK12-6779 which has been allotted to Motor Mechanic section for learning purposes to students is being used by employees for carrying materials, and other purposes in the Institute. When asked store incharge Yakub Khan about the same he denied the same. Sources said that PPP mode scheme has been introduced to institute where under only money has been withdrawn on fake bills and no work was visible on the ground. The PPP store is closed for the last two years and same condition is of the General store where instruments worth lakhs goes down the drain, they added. It also came to fore that Hostel building of the Institute was renovated several times but the building was still in shambles only bills were passed for nowork the sources said adding the height of corruption can be ganged from this fact. Meanwhile Sub Divisional Magistrate Thakur Sher Singh has ordered to constitute a committee which will initiate a deep inquiry in the bunglings in the Institute.
