Doda, Mar 30: Security forces in a joint operation today busted a militant hideout and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition including AK rounds and Chinese pistol in Doda district.
"Acting on specific information, troops of 10 Rashtriya Rifles and police launched a joint operation in the Koti Nullah of Basti forest area, few kms away from main Doda town," police spokesperson said.
Police spokesperson said, "Security forces have busted the militant hideout from a natural cave and recovered arms and ammunition.
"The recoveries included one 303 rifle with magazine, a single barrel gun, a Chinese pistol with magazine and its six rounds, 57 AK-47 rounds, a radio set -Motorola and a mobile phone without battery," he said.
"The busting of the hideout has succeeded in derailing the nefarious designs of the terrorists and their supporters,' police spokesperson added. |
