HC directive on BC Road widening 3/31/2016 12:10:20 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 30: A high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today granted final opportunity to the state to comply with directions for undertaking work of widening of BC Road to 8 lanes. The court directive came in a PIL, alleging that flyover project connecting Shakuntla Chowk-Balwinder Chowk-Ambhpalla to Jail Road and New Plot-Janipura road conceived in 2008 had been abandoned for some extraneous reasons. The bench gratned final opportunity to comply with the directions for undertaking the work of widening of the existing BC road to 8 lane width, failing which the commissioner would appear in person.
