Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 30: Police Community Partnership Group Meetings (PCPG) were held under the supervision of Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Jammu at Janipur and in Nanak Nagar areas of Jammu city According to police spokesperson, besides DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Jammu, Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, SP City North, Sungandha Mahajan, SDPO City West and SHO Police Station Janipur participated in the meeting held in Janipur in which large number locals including some prominent citizens were present. Speaking on occasion, DIG JSK Range Mr Wani assured locals to take up the matter with traffic chaos in area with the Traffic police authorities and also directed the SHO Police Station Janipur to clear the bottle necks in Janipur area. Referring to drug addiction among youths, the DIG Jammu directed the SHO to keep a vigil look on the drug paddlers and drug addicts and take legal action against them. DIG Jammu also discussed the issue of rash driving and advice the general public to avoid the rash driving. Besides, he assured the public for timely verification into the matter of passport/service/arms license and issuance of character certificates. Similarly, a Police Public meeting was held in Nanak Nagar Jammu in which around 200 people from civil society participated. The meeting was attended by SP South Shazaad Ahmed Salaria, SDPO City South Sachin Gupta and Inspector Bishnesh Kumar from police side. During the meeting the locals highlighted their various issues related to traffic, drug abuse, better police public relations. Speaking on the occasion SP South Shazaad Salaria assured people for all possible support and solution of their genuine problems as early as possible. |
