Youth Convention: Factionalism within Kishtwar Congress on open display 5/13/2016 11:27:42 PM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 13: The infighting between the two Congress factions in Kishtwar District today came into open once again after the faction headed by veteran Congress leader Sheikh Ghulam Haider hit out at the party high command for keeping them in dock over the holding of Youth Congress convention at Dak Banglow Kishtwar on Wednesday. The Congress Youth Convention which was held at Kishtwar on Wednesday was presided over by Congress Vice President and MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and was attended by State Youth Congress President and Youth Congress leaders from across the Jammu Division. As per the details available with "Early Times", an extra ordinary meeting of congress committee Kishtwar was held today at Congress Office Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ghulam Haider, member executive committee JKPCC. During the course of the meeting all the members who participated in the meeting including senior party leaders express strong resentment against what they called as the conspiracy being hatched to weaken the Congress party in Kishtwar constituency and expressed serious concern over the visit of Pradesh Youth Congress President at Kishtwar adding that the senior Congress leaders and workers of Kishtwar, who gave their entire life for strengthening Congress party have been ignored by the youth party leaders by not intimating them about its visit. They said that the Chief of Pradesh Youth Congress was misguided by some party workers who didn't disclose the program of his visit to Kishtwar and said that they came to know about his visit through media and messages circulated on social media. They said that majority of Kishtwar Congress workers and leaders came to know through media that State Youth President held a meeting at Dak Banglow Kishtwar expressing their dismay for ignoring real congress men who are responsible for strengthening of Congress party since last 50 years. Among the prominent who spoke on this occasion include Pardeep Singh Parihar former District President Kishtwar, Payari Lal Shan Ex.
