8 months on, 150 teachers in SSB list wait for call 5/13/2016 11:55:23 PM GS Asgotra Early Times Report jammu, May 13: Eight months since selected teachers of Jammu District were asked to submit their documents 'within three weeks', 150 selected teachers of Jammu district who were in the waiting list are still awaiting final notification of their joining. The recruitment agency (JKSSB) has neither published any final notification and nor is allowing waiting list aspirants to join services. It is pertinent to mention here that in October, 2015, the JKSSB announced a list of 1240 selected teachers of Jammu district and fixed three weeks' time for them to produce their documents before the recruitment agency for verification. Of 1240, 1066 selected teachers had produced their document within stipulated time frame and got their joining letters but the remaining have not produced their documents. "The JKSSB time and again grants more time to them to produce the documents but in spite of these extensions, only 30 more candidates have submitted their documents and 150 candidates are yet to produce the same before the JKSSB", said the candidate in waiting list. Another waiting list candidate said that a month back, they requested to officials of JKSSB that if they had failed to produce the documents , SSB should allow the waiting list candidates to join the services. "The JKSSB neither published the final notice nor was allowing the waiting list candidates to join the service", said the candidates, wishing not to be named. JKSSB, Secretary, S A Rain said, "We are going to publish final notice in coming week.
