CEO suspends 3 teachers for remaining absent from duty
"There is no Govt order for half day holiday on Friday"

Kishtwar, May 13: In order to streamline the education system and curb the culture of absenteeism in schools, Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kishtwar, Abdul Hamid Fani today suspended three teachers of Upper Primary School, Malikpora, Dool, for remaining absent from their duties.
Official sources said the CEO, vide his order No CEO/K/2016/2451-56 of May 13, 2016, ordered immediate suspension of three teachers namely Usha Rani (Master), Majid Hussain (RRET) and Anil Kumar (RRET) with immediate effect and appointed Principal of Higher Secondary School, Nagsini, and Headmaster of High School, Dool, as inquiry officers.
The two inquiry officers were directed to visit the school personally and submit the detailed report within three days positively so as to proceed further in the matter, the sources added. "As reported by Zonal Education Officer, Nagsini, vide his May 13, 2016 letter No ZEO/N/16/105, the three staff members of UPS, Malikpora, Dool zone, Nagsini, were found absent from duties," reads CEO's order. It was ordered that all the three suspended teachers would remain attached with the same school till the outcome of the inquiry against them, sources said. Meanwhile, officials of district administration and education department have clarified that there is no standing order of half day holiday in schools on the eve of Friday and added that all the employees are bound to attend their duties after offering Friday prayers. They said teachers could not close school or declare it closed on account of half day on Friday and said that if any employee, whether teacher or any other government employee, was found guilty of violating the norms, he would be dealt with in accordance to service conduct rules.
The officials asked the government employees, including teachers, to bring an end to such a practice in future so as to avoid action from the higher authorities.
