Inter Distt Drugs Mafia busted in Reasi, huge consignment of Bhuki recovered | | | Early Times Report reasi, May 13: In continuation of its efforts against drugs mafia, Reasi Police claimed to have busted an inter district drug mafia with the arrest of four persons and recovery of huge quantity of Poppy Straw i.e. weighing upto 60kgs and other narcotics drugs like Ganja smack and etc during separate raids in Reasi District in recent past. According to official spokesperson, the special team headed by District Incharge NDPS DySP (Hqrs) Reasi Mohan Lal Sharma, KPS and SHO P/S Reasi Dalip Singh under the supervision of Addl SP Reasi Sanjay Singh Rana KPS and overall supervision of SPP Reasi Sujit Kumar IPS conducted these raids and recovered Poppy Straw weighing 47.590 Kgm. "The two accused namely Sukhdev Singh s/o Tej Singh r/o Sarotekote Tehsil Bhomag District Reasi and Tej Singh s/o Ishar Dass r/o Sarotekote Tehsil Bhomag District Reasi were apprehended with two Jute bags of Poppy Straw from Bakkal area," police said. "During interrogation they revealed different locations of Reasi area after which the special team conducted successful raids and recovered more bags of Poppy Straw from Tote Sari areas of District Reasi in this connection FIR No. 71/2016 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act got registered in P/S Reasi," police said. Yet in another incident a special team recovered Six Kg Poppy Straw from two accused namely Jagdish Singh s/o Sansar Chand r/o Surjandhar, Reasi and Suram Singh s/o Dharam Singh r/o Lamsoora Bandhar Reasi. A case under FIR No: 66/2016 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in this regard. Pertinent to mention that the special team was constituted on the directions IGP Jammu Zone Danish Rana, IPS and DIG Udhampur Reasi Range Surinder Gupta, IPS by SSP Reasi to curb the menace of drugs in District Reasi and DySP Hqrs Reasi was made incharge of the Special Team.
