SCOA holds meet to discuss SRO 105 6/8/2016 11:18:50 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 8: The Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) today organized meet of its core group which was chaired by its president Ch Vikram Randhawa where a threadbare discussion held on SRO-105. Pertinent to mention here that during Governor's Rule in Jammu and Kashmir SRO-105 was implemented on March 31 by the Geology and Mining Department imposing blanket ban on any sort of mining from anywhere bringing this vital construction industry to a standstill. Later the SCOA has approached the High Court which ordered status-quo on the implementation of the controversial SRO. Vikram during the meeting said that few of the legislators raised the issue of revocation of SRO-105 in the ensuing Assembly and the Speaker Kavinder Gupta has ordered constitution of nine member committee which will submit its report before or on July 15, 2016. Vikram said that the SCOA will fully cooperate with this committee and apprise them of the pros and cons of this SRO. It was also decided in the meeting that a general body meet of the association will take place on June 10 at Amar Singh Club at sharp 11 a.m. He appealed the members of the association to participate in the meeting to submit their respective views for further submission to the committee constituted by the Speaker.
